Until now, our work
has been concentrated on the vineyard, where we
have carried out a new concept of vine-growing for
the red grape, which we are cultivating. As the
basis for the production of our wines, we currently
control, follow-up and produce grapes in 200 hectares
of vineyards, under the “Appellation of Origin”
RIBERA DEL GUADIANA, the Tempranillo grape being
the predominant variety, accompanied by Mazuelo.
This vine-growing potential,
held in high esteem within the “Appellation
of Origin”, will be increased over the coming
years. When the time comes, besides the Tempranillo
variety, which will continue to predominate, the
Mazuelo, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties
will also be cultivated.
What started off
as a small experiment is gaining importance as
our knowledge of the microclimate and the terroir
increases as well as having discovered the huge
potential which lies in the area.
